We started Legato because we were tired of managing our teaching studios with spreadsheets, sticky notes, and scattered apps. Music educators deserve better tools.
The story behind Legato
In 2024, our founder was teaching 30 piano students per week out of his home studio. Between scheduling conflicts, chasing late payments, and trying to remember what each student worked on last week, the administrative side of teaching was overwhelming.
He tried every tool on the market — from generic scheduling apps to clunky legacy software built in the 2000s. Nothing felt right. Nothing was built with the specific rhythm of a music lesson studio in mind.
So he built Legato: a modern, elegant platform designed from day one for music educators. Today, Legato helps thousands of teachers spend less time on admin and more time doing what they love — teaching music.
